1965 Chevelle Photo Shoot

For this 1965 Chevelle photo shoot we wanted a vintage drag race theme to go along with the look and feel of the car. For this we needed another car, as luck would have it we were installing a new interior in the 1970 Chevelle that you see in some of the pics. We found an old deserted road to stage the photo shoot on and everything pulled together very well. This 1965 Chevelle is one of the many Classics that we have restored. It is local here to St. Louis and the owner takes it out all summer to both local and national shows. It came in needing both quarters, the trunk floors, and rockers replaced and the front floor pans were patched.  There was a lot of rust repair performed throughout the rest of the body. A lot of work went in to getting the body perfectly straight and fitting the panels, so everything fit together just right. The firewall was smoothed and all under hood was refinished in matte black. The dash and other interior panels were painted matte Volkswagen Polar Silver Metallic and the body was painted Porsche Cordoba Red Metallic. The interior and drive train was finished at home by the owner. This project turned out great! and was a lot of fun to build. You can check out the build pics at     1965 Chevelle 300 Build Page
