Street Trucks MTX Stereo Install, This is a tech article from the November 2007 Issue of Street Trucks Magazine. The article was titled A Wicked Interior and featured the installation of a MTX Stereo system with custom amp rack, center consul, door panels and dash. This 2001 GMC Sonoma has a lot of custom mods including a shaved tailgate handle, Cadillac taillights, stock door handles replaced with oval Malibu handles, custom true fire graphics, full custom interior and stereo install sponsored by MTX. this truck earned its way into Street Trucks magazine not only for a feature but two tech articles featuring the build of the custom interior and stereo installation & a how to tech article for swapping out the stock door handles for the Malibu handles. The all of the interior was custom built, the door panels feature true fire flames and bone speaker covers, a motorized amp rack, and a casket shaped center consul with a bone cup holder. Inside the true fire flames are air brushed skulls and the mirrors were replaced with skull styled motorcycle mirrors. This was a fun build with a great theme that matched the owners personality and profession perfectly, being a mortician he wanted the truck to reflect some of what he encounters everyday. The Truck was nicknamed by its owner D.O.A. for Drags On Arrival a little play on some mortician lingo.
